I believe the past is relevant, sometimes more than others of course. In most cases we are seeing history being repeated, so it is most relevant.

5 Years Ago Today:

Over 900 miles of timed walks, 2 mini-marathons (13.1 miles each), countless hiking trails (including the Smoky Mountains and the last mile hike UP to the peak of the two highest peaks east of the Mississippi River (Clingmans Dome and Mitchell Mountain), and prepping for a 19.1 mile walk of the Monon Trail... the artificial hip is still moving... not even one lube job.
